My wife and I came all the way from Germany to the Sun Shine State. At our first stay we enjoyed the warm and nice weather here in Florida also we loved the Beaches and the sunrise. But the first trip was too short for us. So we decided that we want to live in the future here. The first step we must make was to buy us our own Property. From Germany, I search for a Real Estate Agent in Florida and I found a picture from a nice and friendly looking person. So I decided to make a phone call to her. Alles begann mit einem Fernsehbericht, in dem ein junges Paar ein Haus in Florida kaufen wollte. Betreut wurden Sie von der Maklerin Kati Weiss. Dieser Bericht brachte auch uns auf die Idee, ein Haus im sonnigen Florida besitzen zu wollen. Dies klang so verlockend und vielversprechend! Also haben wir die Kontaktdaten von Kati Weiss im Internet herausgesucht und Kontakt aufgenommen. Schnell wurden wir angerufen und es konnten bereits im Vorfeld einige Fragen geklärt werden, und davon hatten wir wirklich viele… ; ) Dann buchten wir den Flug und waren im Sept. 2008 vor Ort, bereit für die Besichtigungstour. Wir wurden von Kati und ihrem Mann Michael im Motel abgeholt und los ging´s! Es folgten aufregende Tage mit vielen Hausbesichtigungen. Wir fühlten uns sehr gut beraten und betreut. Aber damit waren Katis Bemühungen nicht erledigt. Sie begleiteten uns beim Möbelkauf und haben uns super beraten, sogar bei der Eröffnung unseres Bankkontos waren sie dabei. Auch beim letztendlichen Einrichten unseres Hauses haben sie großartige Arbeit geleistet! Wir erhielten viele wichtige Tipps und wichtige Kontaktdaten (Bank, Steuerberater,Finanzierungsberater usw.) Nachdem wir uns entschlossen hatten nach einem Ferienhaus in Florida Ausschau zu halten, war der Flug und ein Miethaus gleich gebucht. Schon zuhause wurden Sie uns als deutsche Maklerin empfohlen, so dass bereits zuhause mit der Suche nach einem geeigneten Objekt begonnen werden konnte. Sehr hilfreich war hierbei der Zugang zu dem “Listing Book” sozusagen der Bibel für Hauskäufer. Sicherlich haben wir Sie mit unseren Anfragen zu allen Tages und Nachtzeiten das ein oder andere Mal genervt. Aber Sie waren stets ansprechbar und haben unsere Fragen umfassend und ehrlich beantwortet, so dass der ein oder andere Favorit schnell wieder verworfen wurde. Als wir dann in Cape Coral ankamen ging es auf große Besichtigungs-Tour und schneller als wir eigentlich dachten war das “Traumhaus” gefunden. Die Haustür geöffnet, ein Rundblick im Haus und hier war es, ein Haus das unseren Vorstellungen entsprach und sogar bezahlbar war. Vielen Dank auch noch für die Unterstützung beim Eröffnen des Bankkontos, ohne dass ja gar nichts geht. Ebenso waren die Formalitäten dank Ihrer Hilfe schnell erledigt. Ihr Netzwerk ist so gut, dass auch gleich die Versicherung des Hauses und die vielen Kleinigkeiten mit erledigt wurden. Kurzum, durch ihre Hilfe war der Hauskauf in Florida ein Kinderspiel.

When we were looking to buy a vacation house in Florida, it was the first time of buying a house from a distance. I selected 3 Realtors from what I found on the Internet. From the beginning, Kati was outstanding and my first choice before meeting them. After going to Cape Coral, Kati was as good as I had anticipated. She listened to what I wanted in a house and focused the search. After I was home, we ran into problems due to the housing market situation and Kati continued to work on our behalf. Although the time from first offer to closing was longer than expected, Kati was helpful and supportive. Nach so einigen und immer häufiger werdenden Aufenthalten im Sunshine State reifte bei uns langsam, aber sicher der Wunsch, ein Haus in Naples zu erwerben. Wir träumten von einer schönen Villa im typischen Baustil Floridas in einer der typischen Wohnanlagen. Wir träumten von einem herrlichen Pool, von schönen Abenden auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf ein Gewässer bei Sonnenuntergang usw., usw.. Also wandten wir uns an einen mehr oder weniger zufällig ausgewählten Makler in Naples, der uns auch gleich verschiedene Immobilien zu Auswahl vorgelegt hat. Nicht dass wir mit dessen Arbeit unzufrieden gewesen wären, aber keines der Häuser davon hat unseren Wünschen vollständig entsprochen. Wir dachten schon, dass unsere Ansprüche an das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis vielleicht zu hoch seien. Durch einen Zufall erhielten wir dann die Empfehlung uns an Kati zu wenden, was wir auch gerne taten. Schon bei den ersten Exposés, die Kati uns gegeben hat, hatten wir den Eindruck, dass das mehr unseren Wünschen entsprach.
